Quasar, a global B2B medical device manufacturer is looking to hire a Financial Analytics Manager who will join our Finance Department at Dongguan, China.  This position will report to the CFO.

The ideal candidate is expected to work closely with operations, lead and maintain accurate cost models.  Handle liaison with PMO, Operations and Procurement, Commercial, Technology to identify opportunities for GP margin improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze financial and operational data – create a bridge between Operations and Finance.
  • Leads efforts to identify and implement system and process changes that will improve the accuracy of product costs
  • Maintain 3y costing models across entire product portfolio (PMs to own, analyst to support, ensure consistency, integrity)
  • Review and confirm accuracy of product costs on a day-to-day basis in support of PMO
  • Supports Finance & Operations during fiscal year budgeting to ensure that costs are properly aligned
  • Liaison with PMO, Operations and Procurement, Commercial, Technology to identify opportunities for GP margin improvement
  • Implement programs to have desired output impact
    • Implement Product Margin Analysis to understand variance between planned pricing margin and actuals
    • Support COGS Variance Review to link production metrics variances to financial impact
    • Lead Product Margin Review together with PMO, Commercial and Production teams to formulate countermeasures
  • Support ad-hoc tasks assigned by CFO
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a cost analyst, operations analyst, or similar role
  • Consulting experience would be an added advantage
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Ability to understand all product costs (standard, actual and variance) and the mechanisms for controlling those costs
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills for communication with management, co-workers, peers, etc.
  • Leadership and stakeholder management skills to co-ordinate and align functional teams around key activities
  • Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel modelling
  • Great attention to detail
  • Degree in Business, Accounting or similar field;
