Alex Wallstein has over a decade of senior management experience in the medical device industry at the largest original equipment manufacturers, including positions at Medtronic and Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Wallstein received a BS in medical computer science from Ruprecht Karl University of Heidelberg, Germany; a Master of Engineering from ETH Zurich; and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
David Ben-Shitrit joined Quasar in 2015. With 25 years of experience in engineering, operations, and R&D, Mr. Ben-Shitrit most recently held the role of manager of electronics and control of the R&D and engineering department at Amiad Water Systems. Prior to that, he was VP of engineering at Aquatron Robotics and manager of R&D, as well as the engineering manager at Afimilk. Mr. Ben-Shitrit holds a Practical in electronic engineering, a BA in Economics and Management from Tel-Hai College, and an MBA from the University of Haifa in Israel.
Dr. William Chen brings with him nearly three decades’ experience in financial and business management at various high-growth companies owned by private equity firms, local family businesses, and multinational corporations.
Dr. Chen earned his doctorate in business administration from Curtin University, Australia, and an MBA from the University of South Australia. He is a Chartered Global Management Accountant, Fellow Chartered Management Accountant, a Fellow Certified Public Accountant in Hong Kong, and a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant in Australia.
Aviel Bohnik joined Quasar in 2016, after a decade of experience in supply chain management positions and as site director in the automotive industry in China. He established, maintained, and streamlined three manufacturing sites in China and Thailand, two of them for Quasar. Previously, as a Program Director for Quasar, he boosted cooperation with Quasar customers, receiving repeated recognition in the role of strategic supplier. Mr. Bohnik is now in charge of Quasar’s global operations across multiple manufacturing sites. He holds an M.Sc. in industrial engineering, MBA, and B.Sc. in industrial engineering & management, all from Tel Aviv University.
For over 15 years, Mr. Guarino has successfully established and led businesses and partnerships, managing P&L, and developing new projects for Fortune 500 companies in multiple fields. With a passion for innovative business models, he’s helped grow Quasar since 2018. He holds two engineering degrees as well as a global executive MBA and engages with our customers to deliver the medical solutions of tomorrow.
Mr. Calderon Larjanko serves as the North American Director of Key Accounts and Business Development based in San Diego, CA. He brings over 25 years of experience in the global medical device and industrial machinery sector, having held various management roles including in manufacturing management, technical services, sales, and business development. Prior to joining Quasar, he worked in numerous management positions at Johnson Matthey’s medical business unit. Jyrki leads on-site sales and business development support for Quasar’s strategic customers.
Shlomi Rom joined Quasar in 2013, following 10 years with PCB Technologies. Mr. Rom brings with him an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the business, in operations, sales, and marketing. He served as overseas sales and marketing manager and production & planning Manager at PCB Technologies. Previously, he was a business consultant for companies in a wide range of industries. He holds an industrial engineering degree from the Braude Institute and an MBA from the University of Haifa, Israel.
Mr. Xu is Quasar’s Asia Pacific BD and Sales Director with 20 years of working experience in the medical device industry. He has worked in a commercial role in companies such as Siemens Medical, Mindray, TE, Creganna, and Q Medical. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA.
